Updated: March 10, 2022
Even though the City of Edmonton's Mask Mandate has been lifted, we at 3E Massage & Wellness will continue to wear masks for all sessions. Clients are encouraged to still bring a mask with them to wear when on the table. In the event that you are feeling unwell, or have any symptoms, especially fever, sore throat or cough, we ask that you contact the office and reschedule your appointment.
March 01, 2022
As of today most restrictions have been lifted, but the Mask Mandate for the City of Edmonton still remains in effect. The YMCA is no longer running the Restriction Exemption Program as well.
Please check back in later to see the online schedule which will run from March 19 to April 5.
Sept 16, 2021
As per the Government of Alberta, starting Sept 20, 2021 the Restrictions Exemption Program will be in effect for all future massage appointments until further notice, as everyone accessing the Don Wheaton YMCA will be screened by YMCA staff.
All clients, must show proof of vaccination:
*Single dose accepted between Sept 20 and Oct 25 if received 2 weeks before time of service.
*Double doses are required after October 25.
*Documentation of a medical exemption (must be accompanied with a negative PCR test or rapid test within 72 hours of service).
*Proof of a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of service (tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories will not be accepted).
Please visit https://northernalberta.ymca.ca/ for facility restrictions, or visit the Government of Alberta website at https://www.alberta.ca/coronavirus-info-for-albertans.aspx for full details.
Updated September 13, 2021
The Mask Mandate has been reinstated as of Sept 4. Masks must be worn indoors or all activities and appointments, this includes when on the massage table.

April 6, 2021
Back to Step 1. Thankfully, that means we can still continue on with all sessions, by appointment only. Unfortunately no underground parking at the YMCA as the facility is closed once again.
Please remember to look for the screening checklist in the 1 - 2 days prior to your appointment if you have not received a phone call.
March 22, 2021
The April schedule will be up this week, and there are just a few details to remember now that the Don Wheaton YMCA facility is open again.
*Please check in at the front desk before heading upstairs Monday to Friday.
*The parkade will only be open on days the YMCA is open - Monday-Friday.
*Weekend or after Y hour appointments, must have access arranged as the facility will be locked, Saturday and Sundays.
*If you wish to access the facility before or after your appointment, please check with the YMCA as all activities must be booked. Only low intensity exercise is available and masks must be worn at ALL TIMES while in the facility. Currently the pool is not available to the public for use.
January 15, 2021
It has been announced that as of Jan 18, individuals can once again book massages without requiring a prescription/referral. We have also been granted the opportunity to expand the schedule to include some weekend hours as well. Unfortunately the YMCA still remains closed, so access will be limited to sessions by appointment only. Please show up no more that 10 minutes prior to your appointment and please be aware that the parkade remains closed, but Manulife across the street and street parking are available. Enter through the east entrance only. Please see the online schedule for availability and once your session is booked, we will be in touch 1-2 days prior to complete our screening checklist.

Happy New Year!
In light of the recent announcements we will be limited to a schedule of Jan 22 - 29 for this current rotation, and hope that the next review of restrictions in a weeks time will allow us to accommodate clients with and without prescriptions/referrals. Please feel free to book an appointment using the online schedule, and we will be in touch to complete screening, or make any changes required once we find out further information from the Government and/or CMOH. Please feel free to give the office a call an leave a message, if you have any questions, 780.490.6253

SEASONS GREETINGS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Here we are again, in our second week of our second lockdown, BUT due to the continuous joint efforts of the associations in Alberta, the CMOH has approved the request to allow Massage Therapists to resume their practices with some changes.
1. Therapists must be wearing medical procedural masks (ASTM Level 1 or higher).
2. Clients must have a written prescription from a Medical Doctor, or a referral from a regulated health professional such as a chiropractor, physiotherapist to attend appointments currently.
3. All clients must wear masks when on the table, face up and downward. The only exception, based on procedural guidelines is when a client has breathing difficulties while face down when wearing a mask. Then they will only be required to wear one in a supine position then.
This is very exciting news, and will hopefully allow us to plan our future sessions with a little less interruption. Sadly though, we are still facing issues with operating hours while the Don Wheaton YMCA facility is closed. Since the restriction review is not set to take place until Jan 12, 2021 and the facility remains completely locked down until then, we can only make tentative arrangements for sessions to resume Jan 13, 2021.
So, what can we do right now?
**Please note that we are also planning on price adjustments to take place in January 2021. Only individual sessions will be available for purchase, not packages or bulk sessions due to COVID -19 and the potential for recurring lock downs or business closure without notice. These will be reinstated at a later date.

June 15, 2020
As we approach the beginning of Stage II which includes Massage Therapy and other health services, we are beginning to prepare for the reopening of the clinic once again. A number of new changes will be implemented such as the use of face masks both by therapist and clients, sanitizing procedures, spacing of bookings to allow for additional cleaning, mandatory pre-screening procedures, etc.
BUT, before bookings can begin, due to the drastic changes that occurred from the closure of, well, everything, and staggered reopening dates of fitness facilities, 3E Massage & Wellness will unfortunately be unable to open until a later date.
We will be in contact with the facility once reopening has been determined and access permitted, to implement any changes necessary as per the Chief Medical Officer of Health's recommendations for Massage Therapy Clinics and Recreational Health Fitness Facilities. Once all guidelines are met, the online calendar will be made available to the public.
Due to current and potential future changes, we will be expecting a significant shift in availability for the remainder of 2020, or until otherwise notified. Other changes may occur without notice. We apologize for this inconvenience, but will communicate any updates here as soon we are able to do so.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any question.
We look forward to catching up with you all!
